    Text Study
    Para. 1 My husband Mark and I moved to a small, wild valley in northern Idaho. We watched moose, white-tailed deer and black bears crisscross our meadows. But of these animals, we became especially attached to the wild turkeys. Every morning and evening I feed them on corns.
    meadow

    e.g.
    a. The meadow is peopled with wild flowers.

    b. He saw before him a meadow spread with daisies.

    attach
    vt. 使连接;使依附
    e.g.
    a. The worker attached a cable.
    工人连接电缆。
    b. He attached labels to all his bags.

    1) be (become) attached to: (变得)喜欢、依恋,对······有感情
    e.g.
    a. She found that the little girl was strongly attached to her.
    她发现这个小女孩非常依恋她。
    b. I’ve never seen two people so attached to each other.
    我从没见过两个人这样如胶似漆。
    2) attach (somebody/oneself) to (somebody/something): 使······附属于,使······参加
    e.g.
    a. His new firm attached him to the sales division of the business.
    他在新公司里属于商务销售部。
    b. He attached himself to the group of climbers.
    他参加了登山者社团。

    Every morning and evening I feed them on corns. (Para.1)
    每天早晚我都用玉米粒儿喂它们。
    feed somebody on something: 用……喂养,给……吃;feed on something: 以……为食物
    e.g.
    a. Mothers are now encouraged to feed their babies on breast milk.
    现在鼓励母亲用母乳喂养婴儿。
    b. Pigs will feed on just about any food.
    猪几乎什么食物都吃。
