英语中有一些表示否定意义的前缀,如:“de-”表示 “离开,除去“, 如 deport; 表示 “非,相反”,如课文中出现的deconstruct.“in-”附在形容词以及由该形容词派生而来的词之前,表示“不,非”如课文中出现的incapable.
