Meaning of the Symbol
The registered symbol of Air China is a soaring “phoenix”. Phoenix, a gorgeous sacred bird in an old Chinese legend, comes from an oriental country of gentlemen crowned with benevolence and virtue, flies over towering Kunlun Mountain (A sacred mountain in the west of China), and crosses vast expanses of China Sea. Where one finds this sacred bird, one finds jubilation and peacefulness. Therefore, it is associated with happiness and propitiousness. Air China adopts phoenix as its registered symbol in the hope that the holy creature will bring peacefulness to the world, and bring joy and happiness to its passengers.
