Dialogue Two Bargaining (讨价还价) Dialogue I II III
Tourist: How much are these cowboy boots?
Salesclerk: Four hundred dollars.
T: Oh, they shouldn’t be that expensive.
S: You must be kidding! These boots are of the highest-quality snakeskin, the best on the market. The stitching is perfect.
T: I still think they are too much.
S: Well, I’ll give you a special price. Three hundred fifty.
T: Well, if that’s your final price, I’ll think about it while I’m looking around some other shops.
S: All right, you win. Three hundred, and that’s final.
T: Three hundred dollars with a couple of those key chains. How about that?
S: Hah! You are robbing me! O.K. Pick out a couple.
T: Thank you, and please give me a receipt.
