Dialogue Four   See the Niagara Falls
Mrs. Hu: Isn't this a beautiful park! Look at the big clock on the flowerbed.
Mr. Smith: The gardens and lawn seem to be very well taken care of, don't they?
H: Yes, they sure do.
S: I'm looking for ward to seeing the Falls from the Canadian side.
(They got off the bus near the Falls.)

H: Niagara Falls are magnificent!
S: Yes, they are 167 feet high. They are not the highest in the world, but they are very wide.
H: What’s the meaning of Niagara, I wonder.
S: It's an Indian word meaning “thunder of water ”.
H: Look! That must be the Rainbow Bridge. It connects Canada and the U.S., doesn't it ?
S: Yes. Look at the beautiful rainbow down there near the water. Oops! We're getting wet from the spray. I’d better watch my camera.
H: I see people walking way known there near the base of the Falls. Shall we go there, too ?
S: Yes, but before that, let's have our picture taken with the Falls behind us.
H: Ok. Let's get the biggest of the Falls in the picture. I assume that one is called “Horseshoe Falls”.
(As they go down, Mr. Smith finds a sign on the road near the rapids.)
S: This sign says a brave Englishman once tried to swim across this rapid stream, and failed in his attempt.
H: I've heard that others have tried to go over the Falls in a barrel. That’s not for me.
