			implant: (v.) to fix or put ideas,feelings etc in 灌输，注入 1.Teachers implant sound principles in the mind of children. 老师把健全的原则灌输在儿童心中。 2.Hatred is deeply implanted in his heart. 他把仇恨深深地埋在心里。 Comparison:habit ;hobby;custom habit: (n.) sb’s settled practice,esp sth that can not easily be given up 习惯 1.He has the habit of smoking. 他有吸烟的习惯。 2.Don’t let yourself get into bad habits. 不要让你自己养成坏习惯。 hobby: (n.)(pl –bies) occupation,not one’s regular business,for one’s regular business,for one’s leisure time. 爱好, 嗜好 1.One of my hobbies is stamp-collecting. 集邮是我的一个嗜好。 2.Drawing and growing roses are my hobbies. 画画和种玫瑰是我的爱好。 custom: (n.) usual and generally accepted behavior among members of a social group 风俗；习俗 1.Don’t be a slave to custom. 不要做习俗的奴隶。 2.This old custom has been abandoned. 这个旧的习俗已经被人们摒弃了。 Some delightful films made by the late Dr. Arnold Gesell of Yale University show little creatures who can barely talk investigating problems with all the zeal and excitement of explorers, making discoveries with the passion and absorption of dedicated scientists. Meaning: Here in the film, the little creature, though too young to be able to talk, they acted as explorers and scientists. (1) to give up,devote 奉献；贡献 1.He dedicated his life to his country. 他把生命献给了祖国。 2.She dedicated her time to her cause. 她把时间都奉献给了自己的事业。
