			As most schools are set up today, learning is compulsory. It is an Ought, even worse, a Must, enforced by egular hours and rigid discipline. Meaning: With the establishment of many schools, learning is enforced; students have to go to school and learn whether they like it or not ; they don’t have a choice. 随着众多学校的建立,学习便成为必不可少的事情。学习是一种应尽的责任,更进一步说,是受固定的时间和严格的纪律约束而必须做的事。 set up: place sth in position;establish 设立；建立 1.They set up a memorial for this hero. 他们为这位英雄立了一座纪念碑。 2.They set up a committee to solve this problem. 他们设立了一个委员会来解决这个问题。 compulsory: (adj.) that must be done; required 必须做的；义务的 1.Military service is compulsory in their country. 在他们国家服兵役是义务的。 2.English is a compulsory subject in our college. 在我们学校英语是必修课。 enforce: (v.) (1) to impose; to make effective 迫使服从；实施 1.A law is enforced by the local government. 地方政府实施了一项法令。 2.Several regulations are enforced upon them. 对他们实施几项强制的规定。 (2)to give force or strength to 加强 1.They try to enforce their control over this company. 他们加强对这家公司的控制。 2.He collected much proof to enforce his argument. 他收集了很多证据来加强自己的观点。
