			This article makes some worthwhile points about the constructive use of humor. It is a pleasant piece that skims along the surface and is not very profound. The importance of humor is mainly illustrated by examples rather than proved through reasoning.         Humor is often regarded as a useful weapon or tool as in this text. It is also taken as a personal disposition. But it is really much more than these in its deeper meaning.         It reflects an open and broad mind, and a deep understanding of human weaknesses. It reflects tolerance, optimism, and generosity. It also reflects wit, keen observation, and mastery of the language.
