			During our earthly life, the body gradually dies. Meaning:During our life time,our body will gradually die. 在尘世间的生活中，人体会慢慢地死亡。 confront: (v.) (1)to bring face to face 使面对 1.The prisoner was confronted with his accusers. 那犯人被传与起诉者对质。 2.He was confronted with difficulty bravely. 他勇敢的面对困难。 (2)to be or come face to face 面对；面临 1.A soldier has to confront danger. 军人须面对危险。 2.The difficulties that confronted us seemed insuperable. 我们所面临的困难似乎是不可克服的。 It is laziness, sloth, routine, stupidity forcing their way in like wind through the shutters, seeping into the cellar like swamp water. Meaning:The major obstacle that gets in our way of active learning is laziness, sloth, routine, stupidity, since they come to us in such an unnoticeable but forceful way that they dull and destroy our interest in exploring the world round us, not to mention the joy and pleasure attained from it. 我们面对的主要威胁不是年龄，）而使懒惰、贪婪、循规蹈矩、愚蠢－－这些东西对于我们无孔不入，这种影响就如同风强行进入百叶窗一样，像沼泽地里 的水渗入地窖一样。 force: (v.) to compel;to oblige 强迫；迫使 1.He forced his way through the crow. 他在人群中挤过去。 2.They forced an entry into the building. 他们强行进入那个建筑物。 by force of :by means of 通过，用…手段；由于 1.We don’t want to solve the problem by force of arms. 我们不想用武力解决这个问题。 2.By force of poverty, he had to quit school at 10. 由于贫穷， 10岁时他不得不在辍学。 ... and most rewardingly by...
