On arrival at a Chinese port, aliens shall accept inspection by a frontier defense inspection station, fill out entry (departure) cards
and hand them in with their passports to the frontier defense inspectors for
examination. Aliens can enter China only after the frontier inspectors have examined their passports and
entry (departure) cards, have applied the approval entry seal upon the passports and taken over the
entry (departure) cards from them.
Exit Inspection  Aliens shall leave China within the period of time prescribed on the visa. For exit from China, aliens shall
present their valid passports and departure cards to frontier inspector for examination. Aliens who hold
residence certificates issued by the Chinese Government and who are not to return, shall turn in the
residence certificates. They can leave China only after the frontier inspector have examined their passports
and departure cards and applied the approval exit seal upon the passports.
Chinese citizens who desire to leave the country shall apply to a competent office for passports. Except
specially stipulated,all citizens, either on official business or for private purposes , shall obtain visas from
the country or countries they are going to before they are allowed to leave.In case where a country has
special regulations regarding the entry, exit and transit of the Chinese, the competent authorities of the
Chinese Government will take corresponding measures contingent on the circumstances.
