according to Webster’s international Dictionary (1961), means “a journey in which one returns to the starting point; a circular trip usually for business, pleasure or education during which various places are visited and for which an itinerary is usually planned”.
WTO endorsed the following statement: “Tourism comprises the activities of persons traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes.”
As tourism is the movement of people, it is necessary to define this major component of tourism---the tourist---before producing a definition for tourism.
Because it can bring much profit. so it is a profitable industry.
There seems to be room for improvement if one compares this definition with the earlier definition. Perhaps this leaves us a chance to use the definitions mentioned above and reword them
