West
Lake is situated between subtle mountains and the graceful downtown
area of Hangzhou. It is a mirror-like lake extending 5.6 square kilometers.
西湖位于群山与杭州市区之间，它像是一面大镜子，绵延5.6公里。
It is a
good time to jog or bike on the Bai Causeway and Su Causeway-two emerald
ribbons across the lake,

Lake is for all seasons:
In spring, fresh willow buds swing
over the pink peach blossoms as colorful birds brighten the meadowlands
with sweet songs and children’s laughter ringing from distant play.
In summer, miles of lotus flowers
dance in the breeze as the sunset glow fringes the clouds. And a distant
view of mountain summits and the crowns of metasequoia trees consummate
the picture.
When
autumn comes, the air is full of fragrance of sweet osmanthus. Mother
Nature splashes her rainbow hues across the landscape. Shining more
brightly are the silver moon and golden stars.
Winter brings snow and creates
a white wonderland. The blossoms of wintersweet is the glory of the
season. When sunshine sparkles on the snow, many said, “it is the
best time to see the Lady West Lake.”
西湖四季皆宜。
春天，青柳发芽，粉色桃花盛开；五彩缤纷的鸟儿啼唱，令草地生辉；远处传来孩子们嬉戏喧笑声。

冬天，雪花构成一个银白的世界。梅花盛开。当阳光照耀着积雪，许多人会说：“
这是观赏西湖的最佳时节。”
