to make such a fuss over/about sth. :
to be unnecessarily excited about sth. 大惊小怪;小题大做;紧张
1. Don’t make such fuss about trifles. 不要小题大做。
2.It’s only a small cut. Don’t make such fuss over it. 只是小伤而已,不要紧张。
to make fuss of sb.: to pay ostentatious attention to to sb.
过于注意
1.Don’t make so much fuss of the children. 不要过于注意孩子们。
2.He always makes so much fuss of his girl friend. 他总是过于紧张他的女朋友。
fussy: (adj.)
1) nervously active 紧张的; 大惊小怪的
1.He is such a fussy person. 他是这样一个爱大惊小怪的人。
2.The fussy lady can not hide her impatience.
这个紧张的女人无法掩饰她的烦躁不安。
2) full of attention to detail 多纷扰的;为琐事担心的
1.She is too fussy about her clothes. 她对于衣着过于挑剔。
2.The boy is fussy about his food. 这个孩子过于挑食。
3) over-ornamented; having too many unimportant details 装饰过分的; 有太多不重要的细节的
1.I don’t like fussy dress. 我不喜欢过于花哨的衣服。
2.This is a fussy article. 这是一片过于浮华的文章。
depress: (v.)
1) to press 压下
1.He depresses the keys of the piano. 他按下钢琴键。
2.In the past,peasants were the depressed class. 在过去,农民是受压迫的阶级。
2)to make sad ,low in spirits 使愁苦;使沮丧
1.His words depressed her. 他的话使她很沮丧。
2.She felt depressed after hearing the bad news. 听到坏消息后她很沮丧。
3)to make less active 使不活泼;使萧条
1.The economy was depressed in 1930s. 20世纪30年代出现了经济大萧条。
2.Due to SARS ,business is depressed. 由于非典的缘故,出现了商业萧条的情况。

worth:
1)(n.) value 价值
1.The book is of great worth. 这本书很有价值。
2.What he said was of little worth. 他所说的话根本没什么价值。
2) (n.) quantity of sth. of a specified value 某种价额的数量
1.She gave me a hundred pounds’ worth of gift. 她给了我价值100镑的礼物。
2.He bought a pound’s worth of apples. 他买了一镑的苹果。
