程度副词(Adverbs of Degree)
2)程度副词一般放在它所修饰的词的前面，例如：
1.This textbook is definitely more suitable for us than the other one.
这个教本比那个教本肯定对我们要合适一些。
2.I am awfully sorry for it. 这事我很抱歉。
3.We meet fairly often. 我们见面的时候相当多。
4.I don’t quite agree with you. 我不完全同意你的意见。
5.He stumbled and almost fell. 他绊了一下差点摔倒了。
注意：enough 常放在它所修饰的词的后面，例如：
1.He didn’t work hard enough. 他工作不够努力。
2.The room isn’t large enough to seat all of us. 这屋子不够大，不能容纳我们所有人。
3)Rather的用法
和fairly, quite,pretty, very, 等程度副词一样通常用来修饰形容词或副词。它们通常与一些表示“不好的”“令人不快的”之意形容词或副词连用，表示“相当的…”的含义。
例如：
1.This is a rather dull film. 这是部相当枯燥的电影。
2.He is a rather stupid person /rather a stupid person.. 他是个相当愚蠢的人。
（不定冠词可以放在rather的前面或后面。）
