Meaning: Hunting and fishing are the main subjects of his books

be crowded with: be filled or occupied to overflowing
人多的;拥挤的;占满的
1. The exhibition was crowded with visitors.
这个展览的参观人数众多。
2. The street was crowed with cars. 街上到处都是汽车。
Though …. Verne became a stimulus and inspiration to the scientist in the laboratory.
Meaning: Though he hadn’t done any work in laboratory, the imagined things in his fiction had provided new prospects, new ideas, new inspiration for the scientists. 尽管凡尔纳的手从没来拿过试管,它却成为实验室科学家们激励与灵感的来源。
stimulus

anticipate (v) : expect sth
意思是 “期望”、“预料”,指以高兴或恐惧的心情期待所向往或预料的事情发生。
1. We anticipate that demand is likely to increase.
我们预料需求很可能上升。
2. We anticipate much pleasure on our trip to New York.
我们料想到纽约的旅行会很快乐。
await (v) : be ready or waiting for sb/sth
意思是 “准备以待”、“期待(某人或某物)”
1. A warm welcome awaits all our customers.
等待顾客的是热烈的欢迎。
2. A surprise awaited us on our arrival.
等待我们到达的是惊喜。
expect (v): think or believe that sth will happen
意思是 “期待、盼望 (某事物会发生、某事物会到来)
1. This is the parcel which we have been expecting from my home.
这就是我一直期盼的来自我家的邮包。
2. We expected him to arrive yesterday.
昨天我们盼他来。
