Grizzly bears are now found in the western part of North America, i.e. in the wild parts of Alaska and Canada, and are now under protection in Yellowstone and Glacier national parks, U.S.A. They are big animals with a broad, squarish head and muscular body. In average, a grizzly has a length of 8 feet (2.5 meters) and a weight of 790 pounds (360 kg). Because of its large size, it doesnĄ¯t climb, but it runs fast in the dense forest and rough mountains. Grizzly bears are very ferocious, even skillful riflemen would find them formidable and dangerous.
