Animal Experimentation

An activity developed with the beginning of modern science. It is estimated that every year about 25 million mammals are used in scientific research in the U.S. Research in many field depends heavily on animal experiments, such as medicine, physiology, psychology, biology, etc. Animals provide models for the study of human diseases. They are also used in psychology laboratories to reveal information about reactions to stress, pain, and other types of stimuli. In various experiments, many animals are sacrificed for the benefit of human beings.sometimes animal experiment is called vivisection, a term revealing the cruelty of this activity.
