A room inside the house where family members have their meals. 3. What do you think of the title at first? How can a picnic be held in a dining-room? There must be something wrong. 4. Do you think that the essay has a good title ? The author builds up the title with the contradiction between “ picnic”and “dining-room”, and thereby produces a humorous effect and at the same time shows her regret for having agreed to go on a picnic with Mrs. Brown . 5. Was it on a weekend that they had the picnic ? Can you find any evidence to support your answer? No. because the traffic is so heavy and the workers on the farm are busy milking the cows. 6. What do you think made the picnic so disappointing ? Firstly , the preparation is too elaborate; Secondly , they have trouble in selecting the meadow ; Finally , the picnic is spoiled by the interruption of the farm workers.
